Access through the radial artery is by far the safest and least traumatic method for angiographic studies. Radial angiography does not require strict bed rest after the examination (unlike femoral access), which reduces the length of the patient’s stay in the hospital. In most cases, this examination can be performed on an outpatient basis. Radial access can be performed by puncture, so there is no need for surgical exposure of the vessel. In addition, the almost complete absence of local complications excludes the possibility of surgical correction of the consequences of the study and the occurrence of compression neurological disorders.
