WALLPAPER GLUE PRODUCTION

Among the finishing materials for walls, wallpaper does not lose its relevance. Technologies for the production of finishing materials are actively developing. And along with paper wallpaper, their other varieties are now being produced. In order for the pasting to go perfectly, it is necessary not only to prepare the walls, but also to choose a suitable fixative for them.

The production of wallpaper paste is based on the use of three main components:

The basis is modified starches or cellulose derivatives (CMC, MC) 50-95%;
PVA (polyvinyl acetate) - 5-50%;
Antiseptics and fungicides - up to 3.4%.

The types of compositions differ in the ratio of the main components. The highest content of the main compound in a universal form, and the content of antifungal agents in it is small. Heavy wallpaper adhesive contains 75% CMC, 23-25% PVA, fungicides up to 3%.

All adhesives for finishing surfaces are divided into three types:

Versatile - suitable for different types of materials;
Special - for a specific type: bamboo, interlining or fiberglass;
Highly specialized - for wallpaper from a specific manufacturer.

Glue for non-woven wallpaper is immediately applied to the walls. It contains a large number of antiseptics. To work with them, it is better to purchase special adhesive mixtures from dry modified starches. PVA universal wallpaper glue and bustilat are designed for paper wallpapers, and CMC drilling mass is also for vinyl wallpapers. Compounds based on carbomethylcellulose adhere well to concrete, wood, plaster and other non-metallic surfaces, except for painted ones - they do not adhere well to them.

In the package, the adhesive mixture is stored for quite a long time, the shelf life of finished wallpaper glue is usually no more than three months. This is confirmed by user reviews. After dilution, the viscous solution can be stored for up to 10 days in a hermetically sealed container.
